MAX CAVALERA Interviewed Backstage At METAL HAMMER GOLDEN GODS; Video Available
June 21, 2008Former SEPULTURA and current SOULFLY/CAVALERA CONSPIRACY frontman Max Cavalera was interviewed backstage at this year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods ceremony, which was held this past Monday night (June 16) at London, England's state-of-the-art Indigo2 complex. Watch the chat at this location. Max and his brother Igor Cavalera (CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, ex-SEPULTURA) were honored with the "Spirit of Hammer" award at the annual awards bash, which is owned by Future's Metal Hammer magazine. The event celebrated the great and good from the international world of rock and metal as well as playing host to five of the loudest bands on the planet to an audience of 1,500 frothing and frenzied kids.
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY will have its June 23, 2008 concert at Docks in Hamburg, Germany streamed live (free of charge) over the Internet at Ligx.de beginning at 21.30 local time.
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY recently tapped Johny Chow (a.k.a. John Mark Bechtel; FIREBALL MINISTRY, SOULS OF WE, ex-SYSTEMATIC, MY RUIN) to play bass on the group's current European tour. Joe Duplantier of the French progressive death metallers GOJIRA, who laid down all the bass tracks on CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's debut album, "Inflikted", is currently in the studio working on the new GOJIRA CD and is unable to join CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on the road.
Johny Chow played his first show with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on May 30 at the Electric Weekend in Madrid, Spain.
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY will team up with THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, THROWDOWN, BURY YOUR DEAD and INCITE for a North American tour in July.
